Designer Perfume

It seems a lot of popular handbag designers have gotten into the designer perfume business lately.  This trend is not new.  In fact, it seems to be the natural progression of the career for the successful fashion designer.  An example of this is with the famous designer, Chanel.  The perfume, Chanel No. 5 came out in 1921!  This signature fragrance paved the way for future designers and the model of building a business, a brand, a name, continues today.    Branding is especially important to the success of a designer.  Although often it is the designer’s name that is used, that is not always the case.  Some popular new designer perfume names include Juicy Couture Eau de parfum, Hugo by Hugo Boss For Men, Dolce & Gabbana Light Blue, Yves Saint Laurent L’Homme, and Azzaro Chrome.  The choice of fragrance can say a lot about an individual.  Fragrances like fashion design go in and out of popularity.  Some fragrances are linked to a particular decade or moment in social culture.  Just think of your grandmother and you probably have a perfume associated with her.  Is it rel=”nofollow” target=”_blank” Bal A Versailles Perfume?  Perhaps your Mom wore Jean Nate?  In the 1980′s Ralph Lauren’s Lauren perfume and Halston’s Halston perfume were all the rage.  Some trendy fragrances fade with time and others become timeless designer perfume classics.
